Stick drift
Let go of both sticks, then press the button.
This site’s rule: under 5% from center is centered, 5% to 15% is slightly off, 15% or more is drifting.
How to test
- Connect the controller by USB or Bluetooth.
- Press any button so the page can see it.
- Press each button and move each stick to its edges.
- Let go of the sticks and press Measure resting position to check for drift.
How drift is judged
With your hands off the sticks, the tester averages each stick’s position for about a second. Under 5% from center counts as centered, 5% to 15% as slightly off, and 15% or more as drifting. These lines are this site’s own rule, not an official standard.
If nothing shows up
Press any button on the controller once. A page may not see a controller until you do. If it still does not appear, reconnect it and try another browser.

Questions
Which controllers work?
Any controller your browser reports. When the browser knows the standard layout, buttons are named by position (for example A / Cross). Otherwise they are shown as numbered buttons.
Vibration does nothing.
Vibration only runs when the browser and the controller both support it. If the button is missing, your browser did not offer it for this controller.
Is drift here the same as drift in games?
The test shows raw values with nothing filtered out. Games often ignore small offsets near the center, so slight drift here may not show in play.
